A rhododendrons festival will be held at a forest park in Oroqen Autonomous Banner, northeastern Inner Mongolia autonomous region on May 8.
Oroqen Autonomous Banner is located in the Greater Hinggan Mountains region, North East China, where spring usually comes later than to the rest of China.
Since April, rhododendrons have been blossoming all over the southern Greater Hinggan Mountains to the north. Visitors can embrace beautiful scenery combining green hills, blue lakes, and a purple sea of rhododendrons.
Apart from the natural scenery, tourists can also experience the unique dress of the Oroqen ethnic group and their customs.
