Young students at Xilin Gol Occupational Education Center have taken part in making pottery figurines and used their creativity to make pieces that combine traditional Mongolian culture with modern elements.
In April 2013, the center was recognized as a demonstrative institute for promoting folk culture among China’s national occupational schools. It has encouraged many young people to engage in a pottery career.
It has four studios and training rooms to make pottery, and leather and brass products. Some works have received awards during national-level art competitions.
