Zhao Fei, a 28-year-old express delivery man in Tumd Left Banner, Hohhot, is attached to Jingdong (an online marketplace), which serves an area of 1,900 square meters together with another two colleagues. Zhao’s delivery mileage can easily reach 200 kilometers per day. And his odometer increased nearly 80,000 kilometers during one year working for the online shopping company.
“Though there are not many packages at the station, customers usually live in dispersed areas, which means I often need to drive dozens of kilometers for one package,” according to Zhao.
Despite the remote distances, he must guarantee the packages will be dispatched in a timely manner, added Zhao. “However, it’s gratifying enough for me to travel this far when I hear a customer say ‘thank you for this delivery.’”
