On Feb 3, staff from the transmission office of Wuhai power department examined high-voltage power lines in a sparsely populated area of Wuhai, western Inner Mongolia autonomous region.
Founded in 1990, the transmission office has 91 employees who take responsibility for the maintenance of 105 transmission lines with a variation of voltages (35-220 kilovolt), stretching through a 1,300-kilometer area, including over desert and mining fields.
Dedicated electricians focus on learning new techniques and offering quality services for local residents and factories, guaranteeing secure power supplies for around 500,000 people.
