A new flight will link Baotou with Thailand from Nov 28, according to Baotou Evening News.
The launch of the new flight will mark the second international flight for the largest city of North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region, after the launch of a direct flight to Ulan Bator, capital of Mongolia, in August.
The flight, operated by a Boeing 737-800, is scheduled to fly once a week, with a capacity of 188 seats.
The flight departs Bangkok at 07:00, arriving in Baotou at 12:50. The return flight departs Baotou at 13:50, and arrives in Bangkok at 18:15.
In addition, during the Dec 26, 2016 to Dec 27, 2017 period, Baotou will launch a direct flight to Krabi, Thailand. The flight departs Krabi at 03:20, reaching Baotou at 09:55, and then takes off an hour later at 10:55, landing in Krabi at 16:05.
