Under the leadership of Li Jiheng (secretary of the CPC Inner Mongolia Autonomous Regional Committee) and Bu Xiaolin (president of the People’s Government of Inner Mongolia autonomous region), Inner Mongolia should accelerate the promotion of the big data industry as well as the cloud computing sector, Xu said.

Also, he gave three suggestions on the construction of a national big data pilot in Inner Mongolia, including the integration of resources and information, the processing of raw data, and the updating of the industrial structure.

The conference aimed to publicize the regional advantages in developing the big data industry, to attract more investment to boost local cloud computing, and to promote the construction and potential applications of the industry.

The event attracted over 500 guests, including 18 officials from government ministries, five academicians, over 100 officers from 12 cities and banners in the region, 65 businesses representatives and around 40 directors from industrial organizations and agencies. During the event, Li Jiheng, Bu Xiaolin, and other officials also addressed the conference.
