The Ulanqab League of Inner Mongolia autonomous region has been chosen as the site of the 2016 China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Exposition, which will have 10 different exhibitions and 5 academic forums from Sept 25 to 27.
Under a theme of “Interaction, Convergence, Innovation, and Upgrading”, the expo is with sponsorship from the Xinhua News Agency and Ulanqab government.
The 3-day event is attracting more than 100 enterprises and 60,000 visitors to take part in, according to one of the organizers, “The expo will provide a platform for intelligent exchanges, business investment and cooperation, and is expected to contribute to new industries and technologies in China.”
The spotlight will be on innovative technology, projects, products, services, and management.
Ulanqab was chosen because it is a transportation hub, at the junction of the northern, northeastern and northwestern parts of China and is a key link to Mongolia, Russia and Western Europe.
In recent years, the local government has tried to help develop new emerging industries, especially the Internet and related commerce, and to provide policies and funds to support companies and individuals that contribute to innovation and entrepreneurship.
