The city of Baotou's Mandula Port, in Inner Mongolia, has seen its passenger handling capacity grow 250 percent year-on-year in the first quarter of 2016, thanks to its work on facilities and integrated services, customs supervision, and improving the customs environment.
These recent figures give the port the highest growth rate of all 11 ports of the region, according to the port administration, which notes that they plan to put 173 million yuan ($26 million) into follow-up work this year.
