The Health and Family Planning Commission of the Inner Mongolia autonomous region reported on April 12 that the Inner Mongolia Commission of Health and Family Planning signed a contract with its Beijing counterpart by which 47 Beijing tertiary hospitals will offer partner assistance to 78 Inner Mongolia hospitals, including 21 in Inner Mongolia's impoverished counties, over the next five years.
Beijing hospitals will send two groups of senior medical staff to Inner Mongolia's hospitals to offer clinical diagnosis and treatment, teaching and training, and assistance in construction of key disciplines and development of new technology. Based on the requirements of Inner Mongolia's hospitals, the Beijing hospitals will also send experts to give lectures, clinical teaching rounds and training in surgery.
