When a new flight left Baita International Airport, in the city of Hohhot, Inner Mongolia for the city of Ulan Bator, Monglia, at 4:00 pm, on March 23, it marked the opening of a new international shipment route for Hohhot.
The Ulan Bator flight was carrying 11 international express items as an example of how Baita Airport's international express business has been developing in recent years, thanks to better customs clearances, pricing, and services, which are slowly turning Hohhot into a logistics hub.
This new logistics channel to Mongolia is the work of Inner Mongolia's Civil Airport (Group) Co for its international freight service development. The airport is also adding a 7,000-square–meter warehouse for storage and logistics purposes that it expected to open this year.
