The science bureau of the city of Hohhot, Inner Mongolia autonomous region reports that the city filed 2,614 patent applications in 2015, for a 44.3 percent increase from 2014, and the first time that Hohhot's applications have gone over 2,000 for the year.
This figure also shows the largest annual increase during the "12th Five-year Plan (2011-15)" and supports the move to make Hohhot a national model for intellectual property rights (IPR).
