CPPCC session opens in Inner Mongolia

The 11th Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), the government's policy advisory body, of the Inner Mongolia autonomous region, opened its fourth session in the city of Hohhot, on Jan 25, with Dong Hengyu, vice-chairman of the regional conference, chairing the meeting.
Also present at the opening ceremony were Ren Yaping, chairman of the Inner Mongolia conference, Bu Xiaolin, a member of the regional Party standing committee, and other officials, with 14 other members there to report on the region’s industry, agriculture, trade, energy, finance, new materials, housing, taxation, and legislation.

High-speed train debuts in Inner Mongolia
A bullet train departed Hohhot East Railway Station for Ulanqab marking the start of high-speed rail services using Inner Mongolia’s first newly-laid high-speed railway on Aug 3.
