Work on North China subway lines begins in April

The 11th Hohhot Party committee held an economic conference at its 9th plenary session in the city of Hohhot, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on Jan 19, to discuss construction work on an urban expressway, the BRT system, the subway, and a new airport.

Hohhot sped up work on major projects in 2015 and finished the urban expressway, which cost 20 billion yuan ($3 billion), while work on the first part of the subway got off to a start, at a cost of 38.7 billion yuan. And an airport relocation project costing 37.8 billion yuan go final approval. These major projects are expected to improve urban services and culture immensely.
