The city of Baotou, Inner Mongolia autonomous region got its first group of 16 gas-electric hybrid buses in operation, on Jan 15, to cut fuel consumption and carbon emissions.

These new buses are simpler to handle with buttons for shifting gears instead of the traditional handle.

There is also a stop button to let the driver know when you want to get off, making the passenger journey more enjoyable and the new buses generate less noise and cause less body motion in accelerating or braking.
