North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region reached two cooperation agreements with Zabaykalsky Krai, a federal subject of Russia on Dec 10.
The signing ceremony was held in Manzhouli, Inner Mongolia, where deputy heads of Inner Mongolia and Zabaykalsky Krai, on behalf their governments, agreed to set up a regular meeting mechanism and cooperate in agriculture. The two agreements will push Inner Mongolia’s cooperation with its Russian neighbors in connectivity, trade, tourism, agriculture and cultural exchange.
Inner Mongolia and Zabaykalsky Krai share the largest land and rail port between China and Russia, a long-lasting relationship and good cooperation foundations, said Yun Guangzhong, deputy chairman of Inner Mongolia. He noted that the two parties are supplementary and have promising prospects.
