Inner Mongolia autonomous region received 27 purchase orders worth 150.28 million yuan ($23.46 million) at an international meat expo in Shanghai.
More than 200 domestic and foreign exhibitors in the meat production and processing industries attended the 11st Meat Expo China in Shanghai from Nov 25 to 27. Thirty-four of them were from Inner Mongolia.
Organized by the region’sdepartment of commerce, the meat production and processing companies brought 31 products from fresh meat to processed products to the expo.
The commerce department also organized matchmaking meetings with catering companies from Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces and the city of Shanghai. Chefs were invited for onsite cooking activities.
Inner Mongolia’s organic, environmentally-friendly mutton and beef received good feedback from visitors and other exhibitors. The region’s exhibitors sold about 2 million during the three-day’s expo. In addition to 27 orders, the exhibitors signed 84 cooperation agreements worth 131.35 million yuan.
