The first train of Shenyang-Manzhouli-Europe international rail line started its maiden voyage on Oct 30 in Shenyang, Liaoning province.
Carrying with 30 standard containers worth $10.41 million, this train will arrive in Hamburg, Germany, after 11,000 kilometers. The international line will stop in Russia, Belarus and Poland after exiting from Manzhouli, Inner Mongolia autonomous region.
In order to facilitate the line’s operation, the inspection and quarantine bureaus of Manzhouli and Shenyang strengthened cross-regional cooperation for an integrated working mechanism.
The Shenyang-Manzhouli-Europe rail is the fifth international transportation link from Northeast China to Europe via Manzhouli. The other four start from Yingkou, Dalian, Harbin and Changchun in Northeast China. These lines will drive the economic revitalization of Northeast China, a traditional industrial base of China.
