The administration of quality and technology supervision and commerce bureau of Hohhot, Inner Mongolia offered 160 electronic scales to a local agricultural products market on Nov 9, stepping up the city’s meat and vegetable traceablity system.
This kind of scale combines functions of weighing, printing, settlement and data uploads. Customers receive a voucher which includes the goods’ basic information and a traceability code, which can be used for tracking and complains if the products have any problems.
For the next step, the city’s quality supervision will provide 2,000 more such devices to local agricultural markets.
