The University of Kentucky in the US had a Chinese-American culture and arts exchange week at Inner Mongolia University of Arts beginning on Oct 13.
The American university sent a delegation of over 30 students and teachers to the university in Inner Mongolia, as a sequel of the latter’s visit two years ago.
As part of the Inner Mongolia culture week in the US, sponsored by the State Council Information Office and the Information Office of Inner Mongolia, the delegation from Inner Mongolia University of Arts paid a visit to the University of Kentucky in September, 2013. The two universities had good communications and exchanges on arts and agreed to arrange a return visit.
“We have been waiting for this day for over two years,” said Tick, dean of the University’s College of Fine Arts, hoping that both universities would keep on cooperating in the future.
Several activities were arranged in their Inner Mongolia tour, including joint painting exhibitions , cooperative performance and a dozen academic lectures on multiple topics. In addition, the American students will experience traditional Chinese arts.
