The first Inner Mongolia International Brands Forum, the largest and highest level trade event to date in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, was held in the region’s capital, Hohhot, on August 25.

As part of the 16th China Zhaojun Culture Festival, the event was also an exhibition for the achievements of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and local food industry brands building. This professional event involving primary, secondary and tertiary industries has attracted attention from over one million people.
The forum was designed to offer an opportunity for enterprises to display their corporate culture and brand images, and also to improve brand-names and expand potential markets.
Brand and capital are the two wings of an enterprise, said Liu Yanchen, head of Inner Mongolia Brand Promotion Association, adding that the forum is a grand meeting for attendees from governments, industry and commerce, media, academic and social organizations.
Yu Guangjun, a researcher from Inner Mongolia Academy of Social Sciences, said the forum shared information on current economic conditions to the attendees. It is not just a chance for brand promotion; it also helps more enterprises, especially the small and micro ones, find channels for brands promotion, thanks to the participation of brand services organizations.
Lectures with themes such as brand cultivation, brand positioning and communication, and marketing in new media were given by experts at the forum.
The forum also started the evaluation and identification of star-rated brands in Inner Mongolia.
