The first livestock traceability standards in China will be published by Inner Mongolia autonomous region and officially implemented beginning on the first day of September.
The to-be published standards cover five areas, including the overall structure of livestock products tracing, the procedures, traceability data forms, read/write technical requirements and traceability labels requirements. All the standards were made based on the Internet of Things.
These standards are expected to be technical pillars for the region's livestock management and to promote the region's livestock brands. They will monitor the whole range of livestock cultivation and meat production, and practice informationalization management over production, processing, transport and marketing.
Organized by Inner Mongolia's Department of Economy and Information Technology, the formation of the traceability standards' was hosted by the China Electronics Standardization Institute, and the jointly composed by several research centers at the national level.
