Inner Mongolia-based Baogang Group has become the largest steel rail production base in the world, as its production capability of steel rails and profile steel has hit 2.1 million tons.

The group has two world-leading production lines, which enable the production of all types and specifications of steel rails and profile steel.

"Baogang Group will focus on the production of steel rails for domestic railways in the future. Our products are used mostly in domestic railway construction, such as the Beijing-Shanghai High-Speed Railway, Beijing-Guangzhou High-Speed Railway and Datong (Shanxi province)- Qinhuangdao (Hebei province) Railway," said a manager of the group.

As of May 5, Baogang has shipped 2,850,000 tons of steel products from Baotou West Station, which has taken a series of measures to guarantee the transportation of the group's products.

Aside from domestic railways, Baogang Group has also exported its steel rails to 15 foreign countries, including the US, Canada and Argentina.
