Zhang wins Chinese national snowmobile championship

HOHHOT, China, April 22 (Xinhua) -- Zhang Jingbo from north China's Inner Mongolian autonomous region won the individual event of the Chinese national snowmobile championship on Wednesday.

The two-day competition in the region's Aershan city, attracted a total of 34 competitors of 15 teams from Jilin, Gansu, Inner Mongolia and other provinces or regions across China.

Team Xuelongxuexiang, namely snow dragon snow county, won the group competition.

Starting on Tuesday, the national championship, sponsored by China's General Administration of Sports, was regarded as a promotion for China's bid for the 2022 Winter Olympic Games.
