In the first season of 2015, 22 enterprises in Inner Mongolia autonomous region have filed for overseas investment, according to the region's Bureau of Commerce on April 14.
The 22 enterprises invested in fields such as logging, planting, agricultural and animal products, import and export, real estate, infrastructure and mining in nine countries. Among the nine countries, Mongolia and Russia are the top two investment destinations.
Inner Mongolia borders Mongolia and Russia on the north; meanwhile, China, Mongolia and Russia have reached more economic cooperation in recent years, an economist from Inner Mongolia explained.
The region's northward opening-up leading group held a meeting earlier this month, when the region's government decided to boost cooperation with Mongolia and Russia in several fields.
