Starting 2015, the Inner Mongolia autonomous region will select experts with outstanding contributions to the region every two years.
The region will select around 100 outstanding contributions experts each time. Each such expert will be granted with a certificate to prove the outstanding performance in their own profession together with a money award of 20,000 yuan ($3,198).
The candidates of such experts includes technical personnel, managers in enterprises, skilled workers, social workers, personnel in cultural and tourism industries, and technical workers in pastureland who have long been engaged in their respective industries and made outstanding contributions in private and public institutions, central government-designated institutions and rural pastureland.
According to the region’s Department of Human Resources and Social Security, the decision of a outstanding contribution expert will be based on consideration of the experts’ professional ethics, social virtues, patriotism and adherence to the law.
The awarded experts should fulfill one of the following requirements: getting innovative research results in natural sciences; making great technological discoveries, inventions or innovations; yielding significant economic or social benefits; serving as major contributors for the technological invention award and scientific and technological advances awards at national or regional (provincial) level; tackling major technological problems creatively; and yielding significant economic and social benefits in national or regional (provincial) key projects’ technological breakthrough, technological transformations and high technology introduction.
