Prior to the official operation, the autonomous region started its first CRH emergency rescue drill in Hohhot's EMU running station on Dec 11, with the organization of the Hohhot railway bureau and the participation of rescue trains from Hohhot, Baotou and Jining as well as the Hohhot CRH station and power feed section. The drill was designed to inspect the emergency handling capacities from seven aspects, including information report, pre-arranged plan launching and rescue team assembly, in order to guarantee the bullet trains' safe operation.
