The wetlands in Uxin Banner, a banner in Inner Mongolia’s Ordos, welcomed a large amount of migrant birds in late autumn. These migrant birds, including swans, wild geese and relict gulls, will take a short rest at the wetlands and then head for South China for winter. According to the locals, these wetlands serve as a rest station for migrating birds. They fly to Uxin Banner every May and mid-October to stay for one or two weeks and then start for their destination in the south. As the ecological environment gets better and better, Uxin Banner’s wetlands welcomed more migrating birds this autumn. To date, a total of nearly 10,000 birds have arrived.
