4.8b yuan achieved at China National Commodity Trade Fair

The eighth China National Commodity Trade Fair concluded on July 22, realizing a trading volume of 4.8 billion yuan ($ 768 million) in five days. The projects signed at the fair amounted to 5 billion yuan, according to statistics from the fair’s organizing committee.

A total of 27 Chinese provinces, centrally-administered municipalities and autonomous regions attended this year’s fair, which attracted 20,000 exhibitors and 520,000 visitors.

In addition, diverse activities including the Grasslands Silk Road International Communication and Cooperation Forum, Hohhot’s International Dairy Industry Development Forum and the International Seminar on the Coordinated Development of Modern Logistics and E-Commerce were held in tandem with the fair.

High-speed train debuts in Inner Mongolia

A bullet train departed Hohhot East Railway Station for Ulanqab marking the start of high-speed rail services using Inner Mongolia’s first newly-laid high-speed railway on Aug 3.

Grassland Tales From Inner Mongolia

This year marks the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the autonomous region, during which various celebrations are planned to showcase its prosperity and ethnic diversity.
