Liu Qibao, a member of the Political Bureau and Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee, as well as the head of its Propaganda division, took an official visit to North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region from June 24 to 27 to study the public cultural service, historical culture protection, ecological culture construction and the publicity work in the region.

During his schedule in Inner Mongolia, Liu led a delegation to Yili Group that is located in Hohhot on June 26, where he learnt about the group's milk source, production and quality inspection.

Liu was very interested in Yili's food safety guarantee strategy, which was developed based on Yili's cooperation with Wageningen University, the only university in the Netherlands to focus specifically on healthy food and living environmen. He gave high praise to this system and was optimistic about its future development.

The delegates' journey in Yili included stops in its innovation center and enterprise culture corridor. At the former, a breast milk database of China is being built. Liu asked them to keep long-term research and inspection on file and to keep a close eye on the babies' healthy growth. While at the latter stop, Liu praised Yili’s corporate culture and recognized it as "very solid and sound".

At the conclusion of his Yili trip, Liu said he was very confident in China's dairy industry, and hoped it would supply more high-quality dairy products to Chinese consumers.
