Changsha plans to renovate or establish 54 farmers' markets and 55 community stores this year, according to the local commercial bureau.

By the end of 2019, all residential areas in Changsha are expected to have their own markets and stores selling vegetables, fruits, meat, fish, and everyday items, with the goal of lowering consumption costs.

Statistics show that Changsha renovated or established 76 farmers' markets and 50 community stores last year. This year, it will continue to develop the supporting infrastructure to provide fresh products. Yuhua district is expected to build 15 farmers' markets and 10 community stores, more than any other district in the city.

Changsha now has a total of 445 markets and stores, after two years of renovations and construction, making it more convenient for residents to buy fruits and vegetables.
