Hubei raises its profile at intl travel event

A delegation from Hubei province receives much attention at the 2013 China International Travel Mart (CITM),which is held from Oct 24 to 27 in Kunming.
A 200-member delegation from Hubei province, led by Li Kaishou, deputy director of the Hubei Provincial Tourism Bureau, received much attention at the 2013 China International Travel Mart (CITM), the largest such event in Asia, which was held from Oct 24 to 27 in Kunming, capital of Southwest China's Yunnan province, hubeitour.gov.cn reported.
The delegation held tourism promotion activities, concerning well-known Hubei attractions including Wuhan, Yichang, Shennongjia and Wudang Mountains, which attracted many visitors at the travel mart.
The delegation also displayed tourism products related to the culture of the Three Kingdoms (AD 220-280) which is associated with Jingzhou city.
Li met representatives from countries, regions and cities, such as the United States, Germany, Beijing, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Hunan, Jiangxi and Tibet, and invited them to attend the 7th Central China Tourism Expo which will be held in 2014.
Experts from around the world shared their experiences during an international auto camping forum, and Hubei is also aiming to develop camping tourism in a bid to attract more visitors to the province.
