Migration work for the South-to-North Water Diversion Project of Hubei province will be completed in 2012. The follow-up work for the Three Gorges Reservoir has been initiated and Hubei will carry on with the rapid late-stage support and development for the reservoir.
The Consumer price index (CPI) of Hubei province has gone up by 5.8 percent in 2011, which has been the highest in three years. The CPI of last December has gone up by 4.4 percent compared with that of the same period last year.
The Three Gorges Dam, the world's largest hydropower project, will work at full capacity by the end of May, when the last two power units will become operational, Chen Fei, general manager of the China Three Gorges Corporation, said Saturday.
