Income of residents in Hubei gone up

The income of urban and rural residents in Hubei gone up in 2011 by 14.4 percent and 18.3 percent respectively.

The gross product of Hubei province has exceeded 1.8 trillion yuan ($286 million)in 2011, exhibiting and increase of more than 13.5 percent. The rise in gross product has exceeded 300 billion in the previous two years. The local fiscal revenue was 147 billion yuan, which saw a 45.4 percent increase. The employment and citizen incomes have gone up in a stable manner. Incomes for low and medium-level income groups have increased. The per capita disposable incomes of urban residents have gone up by 14.4 percent. Moreover, Hubei has created new jobs for 766,000 urban residents. The net income of the poor saw a year-on-year increase of 18.3 percent and has increased by 1,065 yuan. The growth rate is more than that of the urban residents for the previous two years.
