Longmen Grottoes closed to public till Dec 20

Due to cultural relics protection and maintenance, the Longmen Grottoes in Luoyang, Henan province will temporarily be closed to the public from Dec 3 to 20, local media reported.

The scenic area, known as the treasure house of ancient Buddhist cave art also announced a drop of its entrance ticket price since Nov 15, from 120 yuan ($18.8) per ticket to 100 yuan.

Locals and tourists can dial the hotline 0379-65980972 in case they have any doubts about the scenic area.
