The Hebei Provincial Statistics Bureau held a press conference on January 24 to report Hebei province’s economic situation for 2013 to the public.

According to the press release, Hebei province has maintained positive and steady economic progress in 2013.

Structural transformation and upgrading, a negative market situation with excess capacity and the challenging task of dealing with air pollution has not negatively influenced economic development in Hebei.

Official statistics show that the total output value of Hebei province in 2013 was 2.83 trillion yuan ($466.73 billion), an increase of 8.2 percent compared to that of 2012.
