The 1st Internet Culture Festival, of Hebei province, which started June, 13, has gotten some good comments online, with its promotion of a healthy, positive cyber culture and its many Internet works.
The festival, whose theme is "Internet culture and realizing the 'Chinese dream'", is the product of the provincial Publicity Department’s Internet and information office and it is calling on people to praise modern times and the creation of healthy, positive web works.
It is holding 14 events and activities to show some outstanding Internet works of literature, animation, photography and entertainment, with one of the most popular being an Internet singing competition in praise of the Chinese dream. The competition embraces communities, universities and rural areas by providing a site for communication and music lovers in Hebei, while advocating a modern, healthy network life.
So far, the competition has had seven auditions with more than 1300 competitors, while the Internet photo contest, which uses street snaps, has attracted nearly 2000 participants and 5750 photos submitted to the organizers.
The novel contest has posted 329 works of fictions online and, according to the organizer, the page view in the online voting has been 200,000 time views.
There is also an animation contest, which has received more than 17,000 submissions. And the festival is rising in popularity, with more people online willing to take part in the events and activities, so, according to the organizers, they will continue promoting the events and get more people involved. |
