Hebei province has decided to repeal eight government regulations and change another 29 to provide a better law-based government. It has sorted through regulations that were made before 2013 and released the results on May 16. The eight abolished ones will be replaced by newer national laws and policies, or local regulations, in the following fields: cable management, condiment production, port management, fodder packaging and quality, bids on mechanical and electrical products, and food safety.

The other 29 modified regulations cover other areas, such as economic information management, prefectural road management, and environmental issues.
