Qinhuangdao, in Hebei province, recently got approval for a new project to build energy-saving houses, with low energy consumption and a high degree of comfort in a cooperative deal with Germany. This is China’s first "passivhaus" project and has the name "on the waterside".
The passivhaus, which has a total construction area of 13,149 square meters, is expected to save 56 tons of standard coal/year and cut carbon dioxide emissions by 136 tons.
The term "passivhaus" refers to a super-low-energy building, using all types of energy-saving technology to preserve heat and increase the air tightness of the construction to the greatest degree. |
