The State Council gave its official go-ahead for the Caofeidian National Economic and Technological Development Zone project, in Tangshan, Hebei province, on Jan 2.

This Economic and Technological Development Zone was a province-level zone previously, and is now the province’s fifth national economic and technological development zone.
