The 12th International Screen Mesh Exposition got off to a good start at the convention and exhibition center of Anping, in southern Hebei province, on Nov 19, with 700 business people from 40 countries and regions expected to be taking part.

There are 55 investment projects being introduced during the three-day event, worth 20.8 billion yuan ($3.3 billion) in all. The amount of capital introduced is expected to be 8.5 billion yuan. The exhibition has some of the most advanced equipment and technology available in the global screen mesh industry on display, and 35 new products being promoted.

Anping county was honored as an “Advanced unit for characteristic industrial cluster development” under the 11th Five-year Plan (2006-10) and a “Screen Mesh Export Base”, for the exhibition.
