Hebei province’s statistics bureau has reported that new high-tech industries in the province saw fast, steady growth in the first three quarters, with added-value output amounting to 90.96 billion yuan ($14.23 billion), a year-on-year growth of 15.1 percent.
According to the bureau, during that period, development in five major fields — top equipment manufacturing, new materials, electronic information, biological products, and new energy -- dominated the new high-tech industries, with added-value output hitting 89.22 billion yuan, or 98.1 percent of the total added value of the new high-tech industries.
In the equipment-manufacturing sector, added value products amounted to 38.74 billion yuan, or 42.6 percent of the total, for a year-on-year growth of 1.4 percent. Meanwhile, added-value output of new materials reached 15.51 billion yuan, or 19.8 percent growth year-on-year. And, in biological products, there was an added-value result of 13.34 billion yuan, for year-on-year growth of 19.2 percent. |
