The city of Shijiazhuang, capital of Hebei province, recently held its sixth press conference to celebrate the opening of the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, under the title, “Flying the Party Flag”.

Zhang Zhongliang, vice-minister of Shijiazhuang’s organization ministry, spoke for the occasion, giving a detailed account of the grassroots Party work in Shijiazhuang in recent years.

During that time, Zhang explained, the city had followed key development points in trying to overcome difficulties and build a prosperous Shijiazhuang, under the leadership of the municipal Party committee.

That key tasks involved upgrades, moving forward, advancing with grassroots construction activities, and constantly innovating and improving teamwork in the grassroots Party organization.

The grassroots work was handled under a theme of “Strengthening Party organization, promoting development, benefiting the people, and safeguarding stability”, to win the support of the locals and bring great changes to rural areas.

In more recent years, Shijiazhuang has also put emphasis on making optimal use of the Party structure and improving the livelihood of the senior Party members.
