Spring Airlines, the Chinese budget carrier, has started
operating round-trip flights from Hong Kong to Shijiazhuang, the
capital city of northern Hebei Province.
The first flight arrived in Hong Kong on Thursday afternoon.
Ticket cost only 299 yuan, excluding fuel surcharge and taxes. The
new service will be operated every Monday, Thursday and Sunday.
In July 2009, Spring Airlines chose Shijiazhuang International
Airport as one of its hubs. The carrier also plans to operate a bus
link between Shijiazhuang Airport and downtown Beijing, in a bid to
attract more passengers from in a round the capital city.
