A museum has been built up in Tangshan City in north China's Hebei Province to commemorate the magnitude-7.8 earthquake that leveled the city and killed 242,769 people over 30 years ago.
With most construction work complete, the museum is set to open around Tomb Sweeping Day, or April 4, 2011. The museum, 12,000 square meters in area, will feature hundreds of photographs and relics of the quake.
The quake devastated Tangshan on July 28, 1976. |
