Qinhuangdao, a coastal city in North China’s Hebei province, has been listed as the best holiday leisure spot, a public online survey said on Nov 2.
Conducted by the China Tourism Association, National Technical Committee on Leisure of Standardization Administration and people.com.cn, the six-month survey presented a list of China’s top 10 leisure cities on Nov 2, including Hangzhou, Qingdao, Sanya, Lijiang, Chengdu, Yantai, Huangshan, Guilin, Qinhuangdao and Suzhou.
In the first two months, 287 Chinese cities leisure indexes were calculated. The online pull lasted four months. More than a million netizens had taken part by Oct 30.
Nine other listed cities were also labeled with their special features, for example, Shanghai was labeled the most fashionable, Hangzhou the most beautiful, Qingdao the most energetic, Yantai the most hospitable, and Dandong the most romantic.
