The eighth International Cangzhou Traditional Martial Arts Festival opened on Saturday in the Hebei province city.
More than 700 martial artists took part in the two-day event, including 160 players on 54 teams from more than 40 countries and regions outside China, and 559 Chinese players on 30 teams. Three overseas martial arts organizations and three officials from the International Wushu Federation came to watch the game.
A grand performance was held Sunday, showcasing 40 classic martial arts featuring 2,000 local students, residents and officials.
The organizing committee invited the Shanghai Great World Guinness council and to apply the Guinness World Record for the biggest multi-school martial arts performance.
The 2010 Winter Jujube Festival in Huanghua, a county of Cangzhou city, invited martial arts players and couches to taste as an accompanied activity. The Chinese Pipe Fitting Exhibition also was held from Oct 9 to Oct 11.
