Hebei province has invested 600 million yuan in a sodium cyanide production project with an annual output of 40,000 tons. Right now, the project was under construction.

The first phase, with an investment of 400 million yuan, will be completed in November 2011. It has a capacity of producing 20,000 tons of sodium cyanide, 90% of which will mainly be distributed to neighboring countries in central Asia. It will also help promote the development of other industries in Xinjiang Autonomous Region.
