Cotton, chilli peppers, and fragrant pears are the major agricultural products in Bayangol prefecture of Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region. In the new round assistance work, some companies in Hebei province start their businesses in the prefecture. They strengthen the relations of industries in the two sides and try to achieve win-win development.
Hebei Guoxin Seed Co. is not only famous in Hebei, but also a leading one in agricultural industrialization in China. It has the largest cooperation organization of cotton growers in the country, with over 60,000 members.
Lu Guoxin, president of the company, told the reporter that there are few Xinjiang members in its cotton cooperation organization, because the two places are far away from each other. Now, seizing the opportunity of pairing assistance of Hebei to Xinjiang, the company is considering of setting up a special service organization for cotton growers in the region, so that they can learn the advanced technology and experience of cotton planting in time.
"We'd like to be part of Xinjiang. Our company has already constructed buildings in Luntai county. We will go on our business there", said Lu Guoxin, president of Hebei Guoxin Seed Co. Ltd.
Seizing opportunities in the new round assistance, Bayangol prefecture makes use of preferential policies and resources to introduce in projects to industrial parks. Now, over 10 Hebei companies have started businesses in Korla Economic and Technological Development Zone. The province will invest 1.8 billion yuan in five years to assist Bayangol prefecture and the 2nd Agricultural Division, XJPCC.
