Thirty world-renowned experts and more than 100 distinguished professionals met Wednesday to discuss China’s ecological urban construction in Chengde, Hebei province, on August 18.
Participants met in Chengde, Hebei province in honor of The Fourth International Ecopolis Forum. Revolving around the theme “Urban Ecological Culture: Revival and Transformation”, those present discussed a series of environmental topics, such as clean urban development, green industry and ecological civilization.
The forum, sponsored by the International Ecological Urban Construction Association, is mainly intended to promote ecological urban construction. Participants can not only exchange new ideas and technology for planning, construction and management of urban cities, but they also teach each other valuable lessons in the process of urbanization and industrialization.
The previous three forums were held in Ningbo, Chongqing and Huaibei, which all had great influence in the international community. Chengde won the privilege to host this year’s forum because of the city’s ecological advantage and consistent exploration of urban construction.
