A grand memorial exhibition is being held until June 20 at Hebei Provincial Museum for Liang Bin (1914-96).
Liang is remembered as an influential revolutionary figure, ink artist, and author of the "red classic trilogy" Keep the Red Flag Flying (Hong Qi Pu).
On show are over 200 photos, videos, manuscripts and some 200 of Liang's ink paintings and calligraphic works.
Depicting drastic changes in rural areas of North China in the last century, Liang's epic Red Flag trilogy has been translated into eight languages in the past decades.
Latest editions of Keep the Red Flag Flying, Spreading the Fire (Bo Huo Ji), and Rebirth (Fan Shen Ji), Liang's three major works, published by Tianjin People's Publishing House, were launched at the opening of the exhibition last weekend in Shijiazhuang, capital of Hebei province. |
